Our franchisees love Screenmobile and the freedom that it gives them, while at the same time, owning a profitable business. We have a very happy system as they love what they do. Have you ever wondered what a typical day looks like? Here is a typical day:
Day in the Life of a Screenmobile Owner
7:00 am Start
of a new day usually depends on the schedule and when the first appointment is
set. Coming in early allows me time to review the day’s schedule, check emails
and voicemails and start preparing for the day. Reviewing the daily appointments and preparing
my trailer and truck or van with the proper material sets the tone for the rest
of the day.
7:30 am I’m
finished prepping for success and it is time to travel to my first appointment,
letting my traveling billboard start working as I’m driving.
8:00 am Arrive
on time at the first appointment. It’s important to our customers to be on time
so we make sure we fulfill our promise. I pull up at my first job of the day, it’s
a nice house and the customer is impressed we are on time. I feel good keeping
my promise, “Hi, my name is Mike, here is my card. How can I help you today?” I
finish up the job, enter everything into my Operating System, and email the
invoice to my customer right then and there. They’re impressed!
9:00 am –
12:00 pm I’m off to my second or
third or fourth job depending on the size of the job. I continue to work through my morning schedule, remembering
to communicate with my customers as the day progresses and continue to update the operating system as I go to keep the office and myself in tune.
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Lunchtime!
I make sure to park my truck and trailer at a busy restaurant, in front of it
or on the side of a busy street. Free advertisement, while I eat, is a win-win in
my book.
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Just
pulling up to my first-afternoon job, I will continue on like this until I
complete all of my scheduled jobs for the day. Some days I have many little
jobs and some days it’s only one large job.
4:30 pm I
arrive at the shop ready to re-stock and clean out my equipment from the day. I
re-stock my trailer with a “Stock Load”, get rid of the scrap and old screens
and now the trailer is ready for the next day. I communicate with any customers that need
attention, update my operating system, check the mail, email, and maybe pay
some bills. If any material needs to be ordered I place an order and put away
any items delivered that day.
5:00 pm Now
my day is done. Time to get in my truck and head home so I can do this all over
again in the morning. Thankfully, I love what I do.
